Van der Burg has been around since 1982. Started as a supplier in trailer parts, the company successfully grew into a reliable importer and exporter of new and used trucks, and as a wholesaler in truck and trailer parts.

Thanks to good and fast communication, Van der Burg and HooVos can mean a lot to each other. We have a nice collaboration!

We (Inkoper MKB; translates to: Buyer Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, SMEs) have been working with HooVos for several years now. As a purchasing organization, we are always looking for reliable partners and HooVos is one of them.

As a buyers collective with a strong focus on the automotive industry, we have high safety requirements. This includes the inspection and maintenance of our extinguishing agents.

The maintenance we carry out doesn’t stop at the municipal office but goes much further: we maintain all municipal buildings.

This means that the municipality is a client who offers us a lot of variety in terms of work and we are proud of that!

Frequently asked questions

Is an icon sign mandatory?

The location of an extinguishing agent must be marked in accordance with NEN 4001-3011. If necessary, the location of the extinguishing agent should be indicated with additional signs. For example, consider an icon in combination with an arrow for the direction. You must keep an overview of the types, number and locations of the extinguishing agents.

Which fire extinguisher do I need for which room?

In general, we recommend foam extinguishers, because they cause the least collateral damage. Our foam extinguishers can extinguish up to 1,000 V and can also be used on, for example, normal-sized meter boxes.

In addition, powder extinguishers are mainly recommended for hazardous substances. Carbon dioxide snow extinguishers no longer fall under the basic extinguishing agents and can be used extra for, for example, a server room.

When is emergency lighting mandatory?

A building has such a lighting installation that it can be used and left safely. Obligation to provide emergency lighting is determined by the functional use of a building. This is indicated by a table in the Building Decree.

Feel free to call us for additional information!

How long does an AED last?

We advise our customers to replace the AED after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. The manufacturer’s warranty can differ per brand, but on average this is 8 years. We are not saying that the AED will no longer work after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired, but ‘assuming’ that the AED works in the event of an incident is too great a risk!

How does HooVos optimally unburden?

Our planning will contact you annually to agree a date for maintenance. So you never have to think about the safety of your home or business again. If a technician sees a change in your situation, he will give you advice about this during the time for maintenance. If you have any questions before, you can contact us. Our representative will then visit you without obligation.

Is HooVos a VCA certified company?

Yes, and it is also a recognized training company.

Is HooVos a recognized maintenance company?

Yes, this is especially important for insurance companies.

Does an extinguisher need to be maintained annually?

HooVos is a recognized fire protection company and must maintain the extinguishing equipment of their customers every year, so that they retain their recognition. Insurance companies sometimes want to deviate from this, but this depends on the relevant risk. If you also want to have the maintenance carried out once every two years, make sure that you receive this ‘in black and white’ from the insurance company, so that you will be paid by them in the event of an incident.
