The Labour Conditions Act prescribes to always have first aid equipment at hand. Companies are required to have a first aid kit per ‘work unit’. The number of first aid kits depends on the number of people in the company. HooVos has a suitable product for all your first aid necessities and we are happy to advise you on the makeup of your first aid equipment.
HooVos, proud of our customer relationships
We have a fitting solution for every situation
HooVos keeps your first aid kit(s) up to date
Many dressing materials have an expiration date. Bandages are regularly used, which means the first aid kit is no longer complete. This can lead to unpleasant situations if the thing you need after an accident is missing. That is why it is important to check your materials annually. HooVos is happy to take care of this for you; we can check the completeness and shelf life of the content in your first aid kit(s).
A fire blanket to avoid worse
Fire blankets have the purpose of stopping the oxygen supply to a fire. By covering the seat of the fire with a fire blanket, oxygen can no longer reach the fire, and the fire will go out. A HooVos fire blanket is made of non-flammable or poorly flammable material (fiberglass, impregnated wool or other non-flammable materials) and often hangs on the wall in a red package. HooVos supplies fire blankets in various sizes; generlaly, they are available directly from stock.

Frequently asked questions
The location of an extinguishing agent must be marked in accordance with NEN 4001-3011. If necessary, the location of the extinguishing agent should be indicated with additional signs. For example, consider an icon in combination with an arrow for the direction. You must keep an overview of the types, number and locations of the extinguishing agents.
In general, we recommend foam extinguishers, because they cause the least collateral damage. Our foam extinguishers can extinguish up to 1,000 V and can also be used on, for example, normal-sized meter boxes.
In addition, powder extinguishers are mainly recommended for hazardous substances. Carbon dioxide snow extinguishers no longer fall under the basic extinguishing agents and can be used extra for, for example, a server room.
A building has such a lighting installation that it can be used and left safely. Obligation to provide emergency lighting is determined by the functional use of a building. This is indicated by a table in the Building Decree.

We advise our customers to replace the AED after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. The manufacturer’s warranty can differ per brand, but on average this is 8 years. We are not saying that the AED will no longer work after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired, but ‘assuming’ that the AED works in the event of an incident is too great a risk!
Our planning will contact you annually to agree a date for maintenance. So you never have to think about the safety of your home or business again. If a technician sees a change in your situation, he will give you advice about this during the time for maintenance. If you have any questions before, you can contact us. Our representative will then visit you without obligation.
Yes, and it is also a recognized training company.
Yes, this is especially important for insurance companies.
HooVos is a recognized fire protection company and must maintain the extinguishing equipment of their customers every year, so that they retain their recognition. Insurance companies sometimes want to deviate from this, but this depends on the relevant risk. If you also want to have the maintenance carried out once every two years, make sure that you receive this ‘in black and white’ from the insurance company, so that you will be paid by them in the event of an incident.
